Wisdom

"I am opposed to intellect without discipline, power without constructive purpose."

-Spock, son of Sarek (Sarekson?)

This is one of my favorite quotes! Spock is so wise. If he was more my species and a lot younger - I might just stroll on down that avenue.

P.S. I made up the concept of a Viking-like surname tradition in Vulcan society.
P.P.S. I made up that saying "stroll on down that avenue"

Dearest Daughter, I am so VERY glad that you realize that "strolling down the avenue" of someone who was born the same year as your grandpa would be an UNwise decision! :-) But you're right, it is a good quote, and I think perhaps we should send it to our legislature or perhaps to certain District Courts!

Hi Melissa,

This is your Auntie Roma speaking!

Just a note to let you know that you and I have 'twin sister' tastes in some respects! I was head over heels in love with Spock when he was being broadcast over the airwaves the first time! Your mom preferred the more traditional good looks of Captain Kirk, but Spock was the one for me! His aloof nature was part of his mysterious charm. I just knew there was a way to reach him with true love! :^)

I also understand that you have discovered the hands down, no question about it 'King of Coolness' himself (need I even say, David Cassidy):^) He had many a heart fluttering in the 70's, and his coolness is enough to span generations and reach clear into the 21st century and beyond! I have season 2 on DVD if you need to borrow them!

Take care and have a great day!
Roma

I apologize I did not comment on this post like I thought i had. I always meant to. What i wanted to say was Spock is totally a character I would have a crush on. Sort of like Data in NG. And I think 2 species can inter-breed (ew). If Deanna Troy could go out with Worf the Klingon, I think a human and a Vulcan would be compatible.
