I have a problem with the word original. I hate that it is its own antonym. Thoughts?

OK, I've read this several times and tried to actually think it through, but I can't think HOW "original" is its own antonym. I mean, isn't the opposite of "original" "UNoriginal"? Please elaborate on your theory (or problem…) :-)
First, I don't know who you are - but request that you reveal your identity stat.
Next - it's it's own antonym because it has two different an opposite meanings. You could say that you are being *original* by taking a unique route to work, for example. BUT - you could also be taking the *original* route which would be the standard route. Make sense?

My lips look huge in that picture.
i am not sure those are opposites. it's kind of hurting my brain but i'm not sure original means standard there, but perhaps "the first." ?
