Brilliant Lyrics #1

In and out of space - I'm always somewhere in between.

Try to make amends, but instead I make a mess of things, for me.

I try to paint by numbers, but nothing's black and white to me!

Don't make me out to be this helpless child of misery.

Maybe love is what I need - but not your sympathy.

-Mika, "Your Sympathy"

I love this! The music is good too, but the lyrics win. Don't think that I'm depressed or anything, cause I'm not. Just wanted to share this beautiful, brilliant prose.

This song is one of a few demos that got leaked to the public and (almost instantly) taken advantage of by me. Yes. I'm a horrible fan, but I LOVE them. This new stuff seems much more blatantly autobiographical than Life in Cartoon Motion - which is already very self-expressive. These new songs are a little more edgy (but still fairly camp) and raw. Could be because they're just preliminary studio demo cuts, not finalized. Either way, I love them and am grateful for his impressively deep insights.

So, this comment has absolutely nothing to do with your latest blog entry of amazingness, I just needed somewhere to vent about the sadness that I am currently full of since my roommates thwarted your plans. It kind of makes me a little angry that, "Roommates trump High School Friends," I think that is maybe the dumbest thing I have ever heard. . .and you guys asked first, so shouldn't you get first dibs? That is the way I roll, but hey, I'm from Utah, so what do I know? :) Well, I hope you have a great day! I just needed to vent anonymously. Thanks for sharing the space. : )
