I have decided that the whole world / the 9 people that read this blog needs/need to know of the wonder known as Leonard Nimoy the poet.
I have selected 7 of my favorite LN (not an okay acronym) poems to share with you and have them programmed to post so you don't have to worry about me flaking.
Please do enjoy - my love for him is overwhelming my entire universe.
I am an incurable romantic
I believe in hope, dreams, and decency
I believe in love
Tenderness and kindness
I believe in mankind
I believe in goodness
Mercy and charity
I believe in a universal spirit
I believe in casting bread
Upon the waters
I am awed by the snow-capped mountains
By the vastness of the oceans
I am moved by a couple
Of any age - holding hands
As they walk through city streets
A living creature in pain
Makes me shudder with sorrow
A seagull's cry fills me
With a sense of mystery
A river or stream
Can move me to tears
A lake nestling in a valley
Can bring me peace

My favorite line is "I believe in casting bread upon the waters."
I probably would have said, "I like feeding ducks."
Well said, LN.
haha I love the above comment. I actually like this one quite a bit. Nice poem, Leo.
haha ok i read the other one first and i thought you wrote it. but it was spock. these are great.
I like the line...A seagull's cry fills me with a sense of mystery. Even though I respect his "sense of mystery" I am filled with a sense of fear when I hear a seagull's cry... :)
